She is the youngest child of Italian father Barry and Mexican mother Josie Nelson. She has three older brothers: Nathan Neal, Nick and Neal. Her early years were spent in the midst of raising her children by her parents in Concord California. She had always dreamed to become a professional soccer player as a kid but an injury to her ankle in 2002 in her senior year in high school stopped that to happen. The injury healed and resume playing soccer in the forward position at Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill California. There she was awarded her associate's degree. She earned Junior College All-American honors and was subsequently transferred to Arizona State University where self-doubt caused her to quit playing soccer. After that, she was transferred into California State University Fullerton, where she graduated with an associate degree in business administration. In Los Angeles, after her study in management for business and human resource management, she decided to pursue modeling for a job. After that, she stumbled across an audition for W.W.E. by chance and after impressing talent scouts, she achieved a four-week tryout period. After that, she relocated to Orlando in Florida, where she started her training at an organization called the Performance Center of the company. They joined Total Divas W.W.E in May of 2013. show. She then dyed her red hair and wore the name of ring Eva Marie. W.W.E. was not without it's trials. She decided to not join her W.W.E. anymore.
